The
A-17, a serious upgrade to the famous SV236, is a
2x 100W on 8Ω, 2x
200W on 4Ω integrated hybrid amplifier with the first 2x 10W biased
in Class A. It comes with
bass and
treble controls, loudness control, tone defeat and soft start. The
remote control selects the four inputs and adjusts volume.
It features a classic
pre-amplification stage with 3x 12AX7, followed by 1x 12AU7 as the
cathode buffer,
yielding
its rich expansive sound, warm and smooth transients and vocals,
vacuum tube and transistor precision high voltage rectification with
a 6J4 rectifier tube, visible in the tube window at front panel, in
the power supply circuit, solid state power output stage, JFET Class
A current amplification, high-end MKP for audio use coupling
capacitors, high fidelity bass and treble tone control with bypass
option, no negative feedback on tone control circuit for natural
expressions, Infrared full remote control, High-end JAPAN made huge
ALPS motorized volume control, Gold plated speaker output posts and
a Detachable IEC power cord system.
Nevertheless of price level, inside of A-17 you will find quality
unheard of at this, such as Rubycon and WIMA caps, Toshiba output
transistors and dual voltage regulators, Alps motorized volume
control, gold-plated input- and output posts and so on. The power
supply section contains the signature Shengya beefy power
transformer serving voltage to the preamplifier and amplifier
